Playing Hack a Mac

Over on The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) there’s a hack of how to get Mac OS X Leopard running on a Dell Inspiron Mini 9. The internet is full of guides on getting Mac OS X running on non-Apple hardware, it’s something I’ve often wanted to do. I’ve got an old PowerPC Mac Mini and I’ve been thinking of getting myself a new iMac or MacBook Pro. The cost conscious geek in me thinks hacking a cheap alternative machine to run my favorite operating system might be a good idea.
Of coarse the latest romours of Apple’s impending upgrade to their hardware lines is making me reconsider. Watch this space, I might be a proud owner of a new Mac before I know it.
