Working on your own spam plugin, interesting. Akismet usually get’s it right but some kind of extra filtering options might be useful. Some stuff isn’t quite spam, but you don’t really want it in the comments. I’m getting a lot of russian comments, when I translate them they don’t seem to be spam, but the translation isn’t great so I’m not sure. Anybody else have this problem?

Yeah that’s fine. I implemented a new spam plugin the other day and have had 3 spam comments rather than 3,000 this week – I’ll keep you posted on progress!
